When will I finish this site??!!

Wow..I just can’t get to this little project of mine. I am too busy tending other’s web gardens and my own is withering. Really, it’s a question of energy allocation. By the time I have some down time to think about playing with this new theme, I’m ready to go around the corner for a fine Northwest micro brew and download the day.

However, I’m now back on track and should have this done in the next week or so, (around August 30th…that’s my deadline!)

Just finished! This is a new web site for Allure Laser Treatment of Tallahassee. One of the goals of the client was to get a web site up quickly, have it be super affordable and to be able to update it herself. Our solution here was to purchase a flat HTML template from Dream Templates and customize it. The flat HTML also allows the client to update the site her self, using Adobe Contribute.

I have to make a custom widget?

So, I wanted a two column, by three row widget here, which was in the demo but it’s a custom built widget..of course, this means, I have to now learn to build a widget. Don’t think I know enough PHP yet for that, so guess I’m just going to dive in and hack at it.

I recently designed a rather large trade show entrance unit for FGWA (the Florida Groundwater Association), a group of well drillers. This is the biggest display I’ve design so far, and many people don’t know I do these kinds of projects. It’s fun to design on a big scale.

Alrighty then! If you’ve come to this URL looking for Groves Design (owned by moi, Karen Groves), you are in the right place. I’m testing a new WordPress install and theme and so my old site is down for abit. Stayed tuned as I tweak, test, add some content and deploy.
