This is exactly what happened to one of my clients a few weeks ago, so I started hunting for a CMS replacement and because I like a challenge, one that was free, web-based and good! Cushy CMS is that replacement and so far, I’m really impressed with it.

Cushy CMS is a snap to set up and is dead easy for clients to use.  It’s free for developers unless you upgrade to the pro account. As the developer, all I had to do was add a few classes to my HTML so that Cushy could recognize the editable areas. It took me about 15 minutes to set up and hand back to the client.

For developers who build a mixture of dynamic and flat sites, (not everything is in WordPress! :) ) Cushy CMS is a great alternative to Adobe Contribute.

This is a new web site for Allure Laser Treatment of Tallahassee.  One of the goals of the client was to get a web site up quickly, have it be super affordable and to be able to update it herself. Our solution here was to purchase a flat HTML template from Dream Templates and customize it. The flat HTML also allows the client to update the site her self, using Adobe Contribute.
