My web work tends to be more design than development, although I am trying to grow the development part of my web work. (Learning PHP for starters!)
I love to design web sites. I have a background in print design and I did a lot of magazines and newsletters, and I still do. I’ve always thought of it more as information design rather than just making a magazine page look good. It’s about guiding the reader along, making sure the information makes sense and that is has a logical flow.
Perhaps web design was a natural progression for me. You have to think about information design more carefully with web sites because there’s this entire navigation system that is interactive! No more flipping pages, now it’s clicking to pages.
I help a variety of clients with their websites and my role varies each time. For some projects, I complete the design and build out the site myself. For others, I simply create the front end design and send the PSD to their developer. It’s all good fun and I love to do web work! Send me some!
I’m not going to go on and on about my skills here. I think my portfolio can do that for me.
